A Court of Mist and Fury: Book 2

Updated: Apr 28

Feyre has just returned from Under the Mountain. Her soul has been ripped apart by what she was forced to do to save Tamlin’s people and her own life. She is now High Fae, but has a human mind. Her days consist of being trapped alone in the Spring Court and her nights consist of nightmares and terror. With her wedding to Tamlin fast approaching, Feyre’s terror is only growing and her unease. Will she be happy once she marries Tamlin? Is this what she wants anymore?

If you do not want spoilers, skip this paragraph and go down to the bottom where I give you book recommendations. While A Court of Thorn and Roses is not by any means my favorite book, this one is so much better. Feyre and Rhysand are so wonderful together! I love how much he trusts her and is willing to let her in. He cares so much for his friends and is extremely protective. Feyre is smart and willing to learn. She wants to protect others, too, and Rhysand does not squander that, unlike Tamlin. Rhysand makes Feyre his equal while Tamlin is terrified of giving her any autonomy.

If you enjoyed this book, the next book in the series is A Court of Wings and Ruin. Other books like this one are: The Young Elites by Marie Lu because both characters feel alone and have no one to turn to, Divergent by Veronica Roth because the main characters have to turn away from their families, and Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros because both main characters have to figure out who they can trust.
