War Storm: Book 4

Mare may be heartbroken after Cal broke things off with her in favor of taking back the crown that was supposed to be his, but she still has a war to fight and rights to win for Reds and Newbloods. She will have to continue to work with Cal since she needs all the allies she can get to win. For this same reason, Mare will also be working with Evangeline Samos, a silver noble who hates Mare’s guts and is to be married to Cal. She also happens to agree that Cal cannot be allowed to take the throne. The third ally that the resistance and Mare have is Montfort, a democratic nation. Mare, Cal, and Evangeline are chosen by their allies to go to Montfort to help with the decision making and to learn more about their ally.

We finally get to see the Lakelands nation in action and hear more about them. For all this time they have been a far off enemy that was only hinted at as the big bad. Getting to experience the tension and fear as we hear that they have teamed up with Maven is even better. There is so much more to learn about this world.
