Fall of Ruin and Wrath: Book 1

Updated: Sep 1

Lis has these unnerving powers that let her see into someone's future and cause her to take action when she really should not. Grady, her best friend, is determined to prevent her from killing herself or getting them into grave danger. They also happen to both be orphans so no one else is looking out for either of them. Where will these powers lead Lis and Grady to? Will they be able to handle the consequences?

Starting off this book, I was really engaged and enjoyed it. I was reading it along with my book club at school, but I was reading much slower than they were. When school finished, I just stopped going back to it. The plot was good and interesting. I was excited to see what would happen next, but I either did not have time to read or did not find it exciting enough to continue. I might go back to it later on, but, for now, I have decided to put it aside and read different things.

This book was delightfully smutty and quite different to any other books that I had read before. There was queer representation as the main character, Lis, is Bi or Pan. It is not explicitly stated, but she is involved with both men and women. This is not the reason that I put the book down.

If you liked this book, the next book in the series is Rage and Ruin by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Other books like Fall of Ruin and Wrath by Jennifer L. Armentrout are Ashes and the Star-Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent, Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros, and A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas.
